We are hitting some small UX issues with #Takahe still and we are considering alternative microblogging servers...
What I like about Takahe:
- Python
- Display domains can be different than service domains https://docs.jointakahe.org/en/latest/domains/
- No client built-in (we are using #Phanpy anyway)
What alternatives do you recommend? Or should we just bite the bullet and run Mastodon? I fear self-hosting without knowing Ruby or Sidekiq might be challenging.
